For pharmacists, the School offers a robust slate of Residency Programs aiming to prepare pharmacists as expert clinicians, researchers and academics. These experiences cover various pharmacy specialties and include both first and second year residency opportunities. Residents have an opportunity to train at sites both on the USC campus and at affiliated sites throughout Southern California.
For those looking to pursue a research career in academic or industry settings, the School offers a range of fellowships. The Fellowship Programs are designed for those who have earned a PharmD, MD, DO or PhD within five years of appointment to the program. Fellowships are conducted with industry partners, Allergan, Plc. and Gilead Sciences, Inc. providing a unique environment for the development of new skills that expand career potential.
While residency and fellowship opportunities are designed for those who have recently completed their professional or graduate degrees, the School also provides continuing educational opportunities for those currently in the workforce who want to stay current with professional advancements and those who want to access new knowledge that augment their current career contribution. The School offers both live and online opportunities through its Continuing Education programming. Additionally, the School’s Regulatory Science programs offers a range of Certificate Programs designed to develop specialists for the high-demand field of medical product development.
