The USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Commencement ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, on McCarthy Quad at the University Park Campus.

FAQs

All graduating students attending commencement ceremonies are required to reserve tickets for themselves and up to eight named guests. These tickets are free of charge.

Graduating students will need to use their USC email account to access these tickets through USC Ticket Office My Account and after downloading and claiming their mobile tickets, they must distribute the tickets to their named guests.

If additional tickets are needed, graduating students may request them using the Additional Ticket Request Form. All requests for additional tickets will be reviewed, and the university will do its best to accommodate these requests as space allows. 

Faculty, staff and current students will need to present their USCard to gain entry.

When entering campus for all Commencement events, security measures similar to those for attending athletic events at the Coliseum will be in place at designated entrances. All personal properties will be screened.

A clear bag policy will be in effect for any personal property for ALL guests entering campus.

You and all guests should allow more time to park, go through security, enjoy campus, get seated and ensure you arrive for the lineup for the ceremony processional on time.

Guest seating at the commencement venue will open at 8:45 a.m. Graduates will line up at 9:30 a.m. 

Each degree program will have their own line-up for procession on Childs Way. To find your line-up, look for the student ambassador holding a flag displaying the name of your degree.

If you would like to sit with specific fellow graduates in your degree program, you should stand together in the line-up for procession for your degree. Once you are seated in the section assigned for your degree, you may not change seats.

You will be walking on grass, concrete, stairs and ramps. Be sure to wear shoes that are safe, comfortable and appropriate for this ceremonious occasion.

All graduates will be given a name card, which will be used by the announcer to call your name when you walk across the stage. You will be guided back to your seat after receiving your diploma. Please stay for the entire ceremony (estimated to last two hours) to celebrate your fellow graduates receiving their diploma. 

Yes – the USC Mann Commencement livestream will be available at mann.usc.edu/commencement.  

All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8:45 am in McCarthy Quad. Please remind your guests they are not allowed to be seated in the graduate section; they must sit in the section designated for guests.

Children of graduates are welcome at the ceremony and will require a ticket; they must be seated with family members or friends in the guest seating area. Children may not sit with graduates inside the designated graduate seating area. For safety, children and babies-in-arms may not accompany graduates when they walk across the stage. Please ensure that someone is able to care for your child in the guest area for the entire ceremony.

For all graduates and guests who have registered to attend the USC Mann ceremony on Saturday, May 11, a reception will immediately follow the end of the ceremony near McCarthy Quad, a short distance from the commencement venue. Light refreshments will be served.
