Alumni & Giving

Your support is an investment in new generations of leaders, research that improves human health locally and globally, and innovations in practice, education and policy.

Our alumni and generous donors share their time, expertise and financial resources. The majority of our 400 preceptors are School of Pharmacy alumni, modeling best practices in clinical pharmacy and mentoring current students. Graduates of our pioneering regulatory science, health economics and other unique programs are shepherding life-improving advances and shaping policy decisions that improve access to care while reducing costs. And our pharmaceutical sciences alumni are discovering cures and novel treatments for a host of conditions.

School of Pharmacy donors fund scholarships that ensure an exceptional pharmacy education remains within reach of talented students in need. They also fund endowed chairs and research and programmatic initiatives that propel the entire field forward.

Lifelong, Worldwide

Alumni, students and faculty are part of the renowned Trojan Family—a strong, connected community known for professional achievement, community outreach, and innovative curricular and care models. Our motto “lifelong, worldwide” reflects alumni dedication to supporting new generations of USC students and graduates on every continent.

Community Cookbook

The USC School of Pharmacy has created the Community Cookbook, featuring 60 treasured recipes—from appetizers, soups and salads to main courses, side dishes, desserts and cocktails—that reflect the diversity of the school community. Longtime faculty member Jean Chen Shih shares a soy sauce chicken-legs recipe, admissions recruiter Allison Frierson Bryant writes about a family-favorite lobster macaroni-and-cheese dish, and alumna Danielle Colayco, PharmD ’08, MS ’10, shares her grandmother’s recipe for pancit bihon, a Filipino classic. Find these recipes and more in the Community Cookbook. Anyone who makes a gift of at least $50 to the Pharmacy Scholarship Fund will be mailed a copy. For more information about the Cookbook and to request a copy, contact Sonia Perez at perezs@usc.edu

What inspired your career choices after USC?

“I became interested in finding innovative ways to improve health outcomes for patients because I spent nearly a decade leading advocacy efforts in California to change pharmacy laws to improve patient access to care.
