The USC School of Pharmacy’s location in the heart of Los Angeles puts students within easy reach of countless options for recreation, arts and entertainment, dining, shopping and nightlife.
Los Angeles County boasts 76 miles of coastline and famous beaches, and the Health Sciences Campus is within an hour’s drive of the mountains and the desert. You can surf in the morning, snowboard in the afternoon and go to a concert in the evening.
Los Angeles also is home to more than 80 theater stages and some 300 museums—more than any other U.S. city. The new LA Live entertainment complex is nearby in downtown Los Angeles, and the nation’s largest municipal park, Griffith Park, is a short drive from campus. No matter what your interests, you’ll never be at a loss for something fun to do in your spare time.
USC Pharmacy students maintain a number of organizations focused on social activities, and as a USC student you also can attend Trojan football games and other campus activities—including theatrical and athletic events, lectures, concerts and arts exhibitions.
And did we mention the weather? The average high in January, the coldest month, is a moderate 68 degrees, and the average temperature in August is 85.
