Financial Aid Calendar

January 1

As early as January 1, you can begin to apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The USC Federal School Code is 001328. Complete all student sections. In addition, students who wish to be considered for the Pharmacy Health Profession Student Loans (HPSL) and Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS) must complete the Parents’ Information Section on the FAFSA.

Settlement month: Spring semester loans should credit to students’ USC account 10 days prior to first day of classes.

February 15

This is the deadline for continuing students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Financial Aid Supplement. To complete the Financial Aid Supplement, log into Financial Aid Summary and Tasks (FAST) at https://my.usc.edu/.

April 15

Continuing-student deadline to be considered for the Pharmacy Health Profession Student Loan (HPSL) and the Loan for Disadvantaged Students (LDS), you must submit a copy of your (and your spouse’s, if applicable) and your parents’ federal tax returns including all W2s. To submit your documents, log into Financial Aid Summary and Tasks (FAST) at https://my.usc.edu/.

Important: Documents submitted to the USC School of Pharmacy Financial Aid Office become property of the School and cannot be returned to the student and/or parent and cannot be duplicated for any purpose.

June

Apply for your loans:

Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan: Log into Financial Aid Summary and Tasks (FAST) at https://my.usc.edu/.

Federal Direct Graduate Plus Loan: Apply at www.studentloans.gov.

Private Loan: Apply through your lender.

July

First-time borrowers must complete the Direct Unsubsidized Loan Master Promissory Note online.

First-time borrowers must complete the Direct Graduate PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note online.

First-time borrowers must complete online Entrance Loan Counseling.

Students who qualify for the Pharmacy Health Profession Student Loan and the Loan for Disadvantaged Students must complete their Master Promissory Note. Please wait for an e-mail from webmaster@ecsi.net with instructions on how to accept and sign for these loans electronically.

August
