Lu Li Joins Faculty

Lu Li, PhD has joined the faculty as Research Assistant Professor in the department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, effective January 1, 2022.

Prior to her faculty appointment, she was a postdoctoral scholar research associate in the Papadopoulos Lab from 2017-2021, where she worked on transforming stem cells into functioning Leydig cells – the testicular cells that produce high levels of testosterone in men. LLi will continue to conduct research with lab-grown Leydig cells by working with animal models of hypogonadism to discover optimal treatments for low testosterone.

She holds a bachelor of science in biology from Central South University in Changsha, China, and a Doctor of Philosophy in biology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
