Current Position: 

Dr. Jhee is a clinical pharmacologist with expertise in a wide range of drug development studies from First-in-Human through Proof-of-concept. His work involves drugs in a variety of therapeutic areas, with emphasis on neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Jhee works closely as an expert partner with his pharmaceutical industry colleagues in the strategic planning, protocol development, clinical conduct, data analysis and reporting of clinical trials in support of new drug development and approval, globally.

 

Education and Experience:

Dr. Jhee studied Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California (USC). He further pursued his post-doctorate research fellowship at USC.

His clinical research career began as a research fellow at USC/Los Angeles County General Hospital where his area of research was in application of population pharmacokinetics in studying ethnic factors in antibiotics drug disposition. Following his fellowship, Dr. Jhee joined California Clinical Trials (now part of PAREXEL) in 1993 as a clinical pharmacologist. For over 25 years at this institution, he was a key member in developing and applying key experimental methodologies in Neuroscience particularly in Alzheimer’s disease drug development.

 

Honors, Memberships and Scholarship:

Dr. Jhee has authored over 85 peer reviewed scholarly articles and has written three books on drug development topics. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology as well as the Japanese Society of Clinical Pharmacology. He is active in making presentations at both national and international scientific meetings.
