Brenda Johnson


Brenda Johnson has owned and managed Calabasas Pharmacy since 1996. She currently employs four interns, four technicians and five clerks. She has trained and supervised over 50 interns at her practice site. Prior to opening Calabasas Pharmacy she was employed by Thrifty Drugstores and held many positions including Pharmacy Manager, Director of Training & Development, and District Manager. She started her independent practice because she wanted to practice pharmacy by getting to know her patients and providing comprehensive care in an efficient manner.

Brenda enjoys implementing new patient care services into her practice. She was one of the first pharmacists to become certified to administer immunizations 19 years ago. She started with flu shots, but has expanded into all immunizations including shingles, pneumonia, Tdap, and recently added travel health services. She is also trained in hormonal contraception and can conveniently furnish birth control to patients. Calabasas Pharmacy provides medication synchronization and blister packaging for patients convenience and to improve adherence.

As a community pharmacist, Brenda believes in being involved in her community. She has been a Chamber of Commerce member since 1996. Serving three terms on the Board of Directors, including one year as its chairman and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of West Hills Hospital. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, especially hiking in our local mountains and going to the beach.
