Kevin T. Marx

Kevin T. Marx, PharmD, AAHIVP, is currently a clinical pharmacist for the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The Los Angeles LGBT Center provides services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world, offering programs, services, and global advocacy that span four broad categories: Health, Social Services and Housing, Culture and Education, and Leadership and Advocacy.

In August 2015, Dr. Marx created the Clinical Pharmacy Program at the Center. This program assists the medical providers of the Center's clinic by managing the Hepatitis C Program, authorizing prescription refills by protocol, and providing drug information to medical providers and pharmacists. Dr. Marx also precepts student pharmacists and serves as the pharmacist of record for clinical research studies conducted at the Center.

Prior to his role as clinical pharmacist, Dr. Marx was a staff pharmacist in the Center's pharmacy from December 2009 to August 2015 after completing an HIV Ambulatory Care residency with the Western University College of Pharmacy. As a staff pharmacist, Dr. Marx provided detailed HIV consultations and MTM services to the Center's patients, verified complex treatment regimens, and assisted in the management of the pharmacy's inventory. Dr. Marx graduated from the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy in 2009.

Dr. Marx has been credentialed as an HIV Pharmacist through the American Academy of HIV Medicine since 2012 and he currently serves as a member of the Academy's Pharmacist committee since 2015. In September 2017, Dr. Marx will be a guest HIV lecturer for the Western University College of Pharmacy.
