Emily Han received her PharmD from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in 2001. Upon completing her Pharmacy Practice Residency at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center in 2002, she pursued a fellowship in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in anti-infectives at the USC School of Pharmacy in 2003.

Han joined the clinical faculty in 2003. Her clinical role includes caring for patients in cardio-thoracic intensive care unit and medical intensive care unit. She is an active member of the insulin-error-reduction team at Keck Hospital of USC, working with members from other disciplines to provide better control of hyperglycemia in critically ill patients.

    2016 Self‐reported weight prior to pregnancy is prone to error. We utilised a measured pre‐conceptional weight from the electronic health record (EHR) to investigate error in recalled pre‐pregnancy body mass index (BMI) category and compared how associations between pre‐pregnancy BMI and pregnancy outcomes varied by using the two measures.
