Pharmacy Explorers Program
Pharmacy Explorers Program
Launched in fall 2009 at King Drew Medical Magnet High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the USC School of Pharmacy’s Pharmacy Explorers Program (PEP) informs inner-city high school students about the wide range of careers available in pharmacy and encourages under-represented groups to pursue a career in the field. In addition to King Drew, the program also currently is offered at Bravo Medical Magnet, Stern Math and Science, 32nd Street/USC MAST Magnet and California Academy of Mathematics & Science. Planning is underway to add more schools to the program.
Collegiate Pipeline Program
As graduates of the Pharmacy Explorers Program enter college, the Collegiate Pipeline Program ensures that the USC School of Pharmacy maintains its relationship with the students and provides them with additional support to encourage academic success. The program also guides them through the application and admission process at the USC School of Pharmacy.
