USC International Travel Medicine Review Certificate Course
This ACPE-accredited continuing pharmacy education program in International Travel Medicine has been designed to assist pharmacists in expanding their knowledge and skills related to improving care provided to patients traveling internationally. The pharmacist is in a unique position to help patients traveling abroad to fully prepare them by recommending appropriate immunizations, medications, and over the counter products, as well as to provide them with travel advice.

The certificate program consists of two sequential components:
1) Home Study Program (15 contact hours, 1.50 CEUs) - Knowledge-Based Activity
Registrants will be emailed the web addresses and instructions for the required presentations and reading materials, as well as a 34-item pre-test and post-test; the minimum passing score is set at 70% for the post-test.
2) Live Interactive Web Program (2 contact hours, 0.20 CEUs) - Application-Based Activity
After successfully completing the Home Study Program, participants will sign up for a small-group, 2-hour, live, interactive web session. Participants will be emailed information on signing up and participating in one of these sessions. For this session, participants will be evaluated on their participation in case discussions and their ability to provide verbal travel health consultation and to perform public travel medicine database searches.
