Clinical Account Executive - American Health Care
The Clinical Account Executive is an external position evaluating the clinical operations outside the corporate office for effectiveness, strength and client needs. The critical function of a clinical account executive is to work with the Population Health Management (PHM) operations manager and PHM team on strategies to bring about the most effective clinical results for our disease state programs. This includes but is not limited to the following: evaluation of face-to-face external care manager specific to training needs, continued education support, and documentation compliance, evaluation of member recruitment strategies including effectiveness, physician engagement, and client clinical support including outcomes reporting and presentation.
The clinical account executive works directly with the clinical account executive, supporting clinical presentations for both PHM and Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) clients, with a key focus on formulary management, clinical recommendations, and outcomes reporting. The clinical account executive works directly with the PHM Operations Manager and Clinical account executive(s) when recommending clinical improvements. This position reports to the Chief Clinical Officer.
Requirements:
• Licensed Pharm.D. in the state of California required
• 2+ years general pharmacy experience and 2+ years in managed care, or PBM-like focus in managed care, or PBM.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience preferred; home health experience preferred.
• Proficiency in drug literature, clinical trials and national guidelines
• Proven ability to over achieving
• Team player and contributor
• Must be able to travel as required
• Valid California Driver’s License.

Position Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, license to practice pharmacy by the California Board of Pharmacy, successful completion of post graduate residency training (primary care preferred), diabetes medication management experience, including hypertension and hyperlipidemia (at least 2 years preferred), experience with anticoagulation medication management and chronic disease management. Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills; experience in managed care; and demonstrated ability to exercise collaboration, negotiation and other interpersonal skills. Candidate must demonstrate record of success in working with physicians and within multidisciplinary healthcare professions. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, medical terminology, pathologies, disease states, and related information to medical management plan. PC skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are required.
