The School of Pharmacy maintains multiple core labs for use by faculty and other researchers to support the cutting-edge work pursued by scientists throughout the School and the University. These laboratories include state-of-the-art equipment suites with appropriate research staff support, providing facilities not typically maintained in individual labs.

The USC School of Pharmacy is committed to making a difference in the world and offering opportunities to those who have historically been under-represented in the pharmacy profession. Read about the initiative below.
Before I came here, I worked at an independent community pharmacy. I really liked the patient interaction aspect, and getting to know those who came in on a regular basis.
Mark Dimapawi
PharmD Student
As an undergraduate I took some pharmacology-related classes. I also did research in a pharmacology lab and I worked in a retail pharmacy setting. These experiences made me interested in pursuing a pharmacy degree.
Kyle Kang
PharmD Student
I chose pharmacy for many reasons. The most important is the ability to develop patient-pharmacist relationships that can be used to better the health of the patients that I serve.
Derek Garcia
PharmD Student
Health is the most valuable gift anyone can have in life; pharmacists are the health professionals who really understand the medicine people need to take in order to stay healthy and get well. I wanted to be that person.
Jasmine Chung
PharmD Student
Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by how a pill is able to interact with the body and relieve symptoms. This curiosity, along with my genuine desire to help others, has ultimately led me to a career in pharmacy.
Roseanne Magat
PharmD Student
During undergrad, I was part of a team of pharmacists, psychologists, psychiatrists and doctors at UCI Medical Neuropsychiatric Center who examined patients with disorders ranging from Down’s syndrome to schizophrenia. I observed the pharmacist’s interaction with patients, and how some improved through the drug regimen.
Anne Bui
PharmD Student
I had a great experience volunteering at a pharmacy in high school. There are so many different aspects of pharmacy and, once you have your PharmD, you can work in retail, inpatient, ambulatory care. It is relatively easy to move in out and of all the departments.
Aimy Vo
PharmD Student
During my undergraduate studies at UC Davis, I had many opportunities to experience various health care fields. I was really drawn toward pharmacy because of the great balance of both patient care and science that the profession has to offer.
